Emerald lab-grown diamond reference illustration

Shape & selection guide

Emerald lab-grown diamonds.

An emerald cut has a rectangular, step-cut appearance with broad flashes rather than the smaller scintillation of a brilliant. Its open facets make the individual stone especially important: a clarity label alone cannot establish visual cleanliness.

What to check in a emerald diamond

  • Inspect the central area in clear, slow-moving imagery and ask where any reported inclusions sit.
  • Compare length-to-width ratio, corner proportions and the symmetry of the stepped pattern.
  • Review colour in neutral conditions and alongside the intended metal and side stones.

Plan the setting around the stone

A restrained solitaire or tapered side stones can preserve its architectural lines. Agree orientation and the actual long and short dimensions with your setter.

Verify the selected stone’s report and confirm growth origin and any treatment disclosure. Reference images, grades and estimated dimensions on this page do not certify a specific diamond.
