Heart lab-grown diamond reference illustration

Shape & selection guide

Heart lab-grown diamonds.

A heart depends on its recognisable outline: two balanced lobes, a clear cleft and a centred point. Its visible width can differ substantially from an elongated stone of equal weight. Judge the outline at normal wearing distance, not only in a magnified image.

What to check in a heart diamond

  • Check lobe symmetry, the shape of the cleft and alignment of the point.
  • Review moving footage to see whether the silhouette stays clear as light and contrast change.
  • Confirm that the planned prongs will not obscure the cleft or expose the tip.

Plan the setting around the stone

Agree prong placement before committing to a mounting. Small changes in how the stone is held can change how clearly the heart reads on the hand.

Verify the selected stone’s report and confirm growth origin and any treatment disclosure. Reference images, grades and estimated dimensions on this page do not certify a specific diamond.
