Princess lab-grown diamond reference illustration

Shape & selection guide

Princess lab-grown diamonds.

The princess combines a square outline with brilliant-style facets. It suits a crisp, geometric design, but its sharp corners require attention. Compare the actual face-up dimensions: a square stone can present differently from a round stone of the same weight.

What to check in a princess diamond

  • Check whether the outline is square or slightly rectangular, and whether that suits your design.
  • Ask for moving imagery that shows the centre and corners, not only a highly lit photograph.
  • Review corner condition and agree protective prongs before the stone is set.

Plan the setting around the stone

Use a mounting designed for the corners rather than adapting a round setting without a professional review. A paired side-stone design should be agreed from actual measurements.

Verify the selected stone’s report and confirm growth origin and any treatment disclosure. Reference images, grades and estimated dimensions on this page do not certify a specific diamond.
