Round lab-grown diamond reference illustration

Shape & selection guide

Round lab-grown diamonds.

Choose a round brilliant when an even, circular outline and a lively pattern of light are your priorities. Weight alone does not describe its visible size: compare the report diameter, depth and moving imagery before choosing a larger carat number.

Compare the same D colour and VS1 clarity preference across weights. Different grades, individual dimensions and visual performance may change the final quote. A report number, material disclosure and imagery of the actual stone are agreed before ordering.

What to check in a round diamond

  • Review any cut assessment in the context of the issuing laboratory and report type; a polish grade is not a substitute for overall cut performance.
  • Compare face-up brightness in neutral lighting, not only a spotlight video.
  • For earrings or matched stones, agree matching diameters and appearance as well as weight.

Plan the setting around the stone

A solitaire keeps the outline clear; a halo or multiple-stone design changes the overall footprint. Ask your setter to confirm the actual diameter and mounting height.

Verify the selected stone’s report and confirm growth origin and any treatment disclosure. Reference images, grades and estimated dimensions on this page do not certify a specific diamond.
